On March 13, 2025, on the occasion of the twelfth anniversary of Pope Francis’ Pontificate and the difficult health situation he was facing at the time, which led to his hospitalization at the Vatican’s Gemelli Hospital, we decided to come together once again to send him messages filled with love, strength, and hope, wishing him a speedy recovery.  

For this reason, we brought together active players, football legends, and international authorities of this sport, gathering heartfelt video messages of support that reflect the solidarity and affection of the entire football community towards His Holiness.

These messages were shared through our Instagram account @weplay.forpeace, the official voice of the Match for Peace, an initiative promoted by Pope Francis since the beginning of his Pontificate.
