Scholas

Scholas Occurrentes is an international non-profit organization of pontifical right, created by Pope Francis in 2013, with the goal of transforming education and promoting social inclusion.

Its mission is to connect technology, art, and sport to foster education and achieve the integration of all communities, responding to the call to create a Culture of Encounter by bringing young people together in meaningful education.

The Interreligious Match for Peace, “We Play For Peace,” is held to support the educational programs developed by Scholas, which is present in 190 countries across five continents. For this reason, Pope Francis firmly supports the event and, as in every edition, blesses the ball that will be used in each match.
